enter divison 1.

KOR

20/01/2010 (12:44)

Warsaw, Poland at the end of the 1970's. The workers' revolt, violently repressed by the authorities mobilises a group of individuals who create KOR, or Workers' Defence Committee.
Heir to the communist regime opposition movement since the end of the second world war and supported by figures rising up against social injustices since the 1920's, KOR is comprised of committed people, with simple yet efficient methods, unusual ethics, the will to shatter the state information monopoly and to establish an independent workers' organisation.
In 1980, KOR's activities lead to the birth of Solidarnosc, the country's first independent Union.
By offering an insight into KOR's actions and words with three of its protagonists, the film recounts the story of one of the ends to Communism in Europe.

A SCHOOL IN A HOST COUNTRY

20/01/2010 (12:37)

School can be an excellent melting pot place for immigrant children. They can build their citizenship, make a choice between belief and reason, between what is said at home and what is taught in school, learn to grant the same rights for girls and boys and grow up with, sometimes, different rules to know and to obey.
Love plays an important part in teenagers'live. But it seems not so easy for a Kosovar to fall in love with a Serbian, for a Muslim to marry a Jew, for a believer to live with an atheist.
Last, but not least, school is a place of dialogue and attention. It can also be a place to defend girls against familial violence.
