Jacques Wergifosse keeps very much to himself. Nevertheless, he is a fascinating character, the last witness to the era of Belgian surrealism, and one of the greatest contemporary poets of the French language, compared to Rimbaud for the amazing colours found in his poems and his free thinking.
He was very close to Magritte during the ‚”Periode Vache”‚ but severed the relationship when Magritte submitted to the business of art. He foundly remembers his friends Paul Magritte, Nougé Scutenaire, Mariên, Torn Gutt. He tells us about the eye that sees like the hand grabs, about the music that seldom makes us laugh, about the real world and the world of imagination that can be reached through frequent treatments of Dada.
