Sabine arrived illegaly in Belgium. Her migration journey start in her country where she was recruited by a lebanon agency of maids. After many years of suffering in Lebanon where she was reduced to slavery, she joined belgium passing through Greece and Syria.
As soon as she arrived, she discoverd Matongé, the African quarter of Brussels where she could find a job.
Today, Sabine is the manager of “Jolie coiffure”, a salon. With her position she can provide jobs to other girls while she is waiting for her case to be regularised.
Sabine is someone who smile everytime, she i smart and welcoming eventhough she works no less than thirtheen or fortheen hours per day
In this 8m2 saloon, Sabine structures the workload, giving tasks to other hairdressers. At the same time, she talks with her clients, advises and find solutions for their hair problems or their personal problems. At the same time, police organise patrols and chase the girls in Matonge. A part from this police situation that can be very threatening and embarassing, sometimes tourists come and visit the place where she works and look at them as in a museum.
