For many years, one man, on his own, has been working one of the last underground stone quarries in the Ourthe valley.
In counterpoint to his daily routine and as if springing from their obsessive rhythm are the images, real or imaginary of village life : the bicycle race, the fair, cocks crowing, village hops – moments of celebration and social life, when perhaps communication would become possible once more.
