Dr. Mukwege is known as "the man who repairs women". Her daily life is made up of consultations with women victims of rape and horrific mutilations perpetrated by armed groups who are fighting a gang war in North Kivu in the Democratic Republic of Congo.
Indignant by this endless war and the repetition of acts of barbarity committed in his name, Mukwege decided a few years ago to no longer be content to heal the wounds but also to tackle their causes. Since then, he publicly denounces the facts as well as the lack of political will to put an end to it. “Would the people of Kivu be sacrificed for Coltan mines?” This film is the protrait of a man of exceptional destiny, at a time when, being targeted by those he disturbs, he is obliged to land essential and existential questions about the meaning of his struggle, the meaning of his life and that of his family. This film plunges into the daily life of Dr. Mukwege, in the environment that has built him, in the conditions that guide his action, in the values that are his.
