As an off-beat artist, Jacques Charlier has a singular career. His humor is the fruit of his indignation, and his playful unbridled enjoyment drives him towards a multiplicity of artistic approaches, to divert works of art from their original purpose, or to see some of his works forbidden, as in the Biennial event of Venice.
Unclassifiable, his plentiful artistic activity and his numerous international exhibitions allow him to make friends with Daniel Buren, Bernard Venet, Gilbert and George and many others…
