A pastoral poem evoking confidence, doubt, reality and the unreal through the themes of life, death and love.
At dusk, a morning jogging. Odile and Rémy separate from each other. At grand noon, Odile walks, watches, meets, danses and breaths. Rémys runs, runs and runs. At dawn, Odile and Remy get together. Unsound.
Further to the oral tradition, Odile, whose name means “Girl of the light”, was born blind and discovered seeing the day she got baptised. So she became the saint of the blind, but also of those, sunk into the shadow of doubt, are looking forward to find back relief in themselves.
The film was shot in Hamerenne, a little village in Famennes, a wild region of Belgium, during the annual of St Odile’s feast. This feast, as most of our local traditions, has lost its original meaning. Through the character of Odile, the film makes up figure the gap of our lack of spirituality, and opens our eyes on the necessity of personal revolution.{{'DUREE' | translate}}: 35'
