Crossed stories and double-crossing of four notarial plots, in an office in Haute-Auvergne.

Through daily stories of negotiated sales, an inheritance affair and an inventory, the office of the clerk becomes the domain of property and money. The power of the verb, so as the gestures and attitudes of the characters involved, so as the private and ultimate aspect of this whole matter, unveils a realm of a far-distant, but yet so familiar, world of agreement, compromises and wealth.
