For some people the idea of a final loss of their beloved, pampered companion is really unbearable. Therefore, as it is permitted by law, if not for humain beings, at least for animals, there are people appealing to the skill of taxidermists.
Those gifted naturalists are able to “immortalize” their patients, restoring them in their three-dimensional shape. SKIN’S SORROW is a film telling stories about loneliness, despair and neurosis because of the loss of an animal – who had been a lifebelt. The need to stroke him makes his presence necessary, in order to remerber him and to have the illusion that he still alive, like in former times of happiness.
