PUNK PICNIC

Punk Picnic tells the story of a community of squatters, of different ages and nationalities, who occupied an empty house ten years ago and are still fighting for the right to stay there. The film follows a year in the day to day life of the squatters, seen exclusively from their own point of view. Emerging from a long immersion in the experience, the film tells a story which is being lived out, in the movement of a life lived apart, breaking with our established values and ways of doing things. By revealing the life of this community, its choices and occasional paradoxes, the film revives a number of themes which concerns us all: the right to housing, and how we relate to work, money, the idea of self-determination or freed on itself.
