That year, the JEM took place in Aix-la-Chapelle, a few kilometers from the region where it was born. Michel is convinced he can win with Habibate.

But, at the beginning of its preparation, at the first medical check up of Habibate, the veterinarians of the European Horse Center diagnose a breath with a disturbing heart.

Driven by his passion and his desire to “mark” his region, Michel goes ahead and confronts the obstacles that stand between him and his goal.

By following Michel during his 10 months of preparation until the day of the World Equestrian Games, the viewer enters the heart of an authentic personal experience of passion, self-deprecation, disillusionment, humor and perseverance. Throughout this preparation, doubt will not cease to infiltrate a conviction and determination that seem foolproof.

In the background, we discover the scientific follow-up “high-tech” horses, hard training, the competitive climate and endurance races, where everything depends on one thing: the horse.
Initially marked by opportunism, Michel’s relationship with Habibate gradually reveals the humanity of a man passionately committed to the pursuit of a dream that resonates with the one he was a child in the footsteps of horses.

Beyond the singular history, it is the universal need to leave a trace behind, to mark the world, which is at the center of this epic adventure
