C’EST UNE MOUCHE OU UNE GUEPE ?

Séverine has no conscious memory of images from the first twelve months of her life. Séverine is going off to explore Paris with her parents. For her Paris is the marble of the Arc de Tiomphe, the wax of the candles in Notre-Dame, the flights of steps in Montmartre. But Paris is also the city where the adventures of Eglantine, the heroine of the story her grandmother is reading to her, take place. The video camera follows Séverine’s contacts with the texture of objects and her relationship with the space which is within arm’s reach. The medium of video is used here to introduce us to the world of the blind, a world which enlightens us about our own perception.
