or two centuries factories have been interwoven into the dense urban mesh of the Verviers-Dison conurbation; here accommodation and services stand side by side. Some abandoned factories are now being re-used for municipal housing. These buildings which bear architectural witness to a recent past are finding a new purpose and at the same time offering good quality housing in the context of urban renewal. The film sets out to show the project from the point of view of the planners, the builders and those who benefit from it, the inhabitants themselves.
