Thousands of refugees who fled the Bosnian war live thirty kilometers from the Dalmatian coast on the island of Brac.

No. On the isle of Brac, guns and snipers are silent. Electricity is back and gas also… Groups of teenagers, some women, a few men and old people stand under the archway of a hotel, waiting for the summer heat to die down. They are dressed like we are. They don’t talk much. For them, the Bosnian war is over. They have lost their country. Somewhere off Split, in Croatia, 2 500 Bosnian refugees live on this small tourist island.
