The interest in putting the elusive Haïku on film -apart from the fact of undertaking a project that has haunted Eric Ledune for over ten years- is especially the occasion to take the type of short film that is different from those usually made.
It is not a stopgap between two TV programmes avalanche of images that we are submerged in each day.A pilot series of twelve 40 second shorts have been made, using these little Japanese instants as a base. The diversity of the Haïku and their authors being countless, the number of poems are therefore unlimited.
Apart from testing the reception that will be drawn and even scripted by others. It will be the occasion to collaborate with other young European animation artists, directors and artists once the spirit of the series is outlined. This actual pilot is at the same time a laboratory and a stencil where all the aesthetic guidelines and the creative options are illustrated in situ? Which is worth all the explanations and all the files in the world.Duration: 12 x 40'
